Proper spark plug

Post by monarch123 » Thu Mar 05, 2015 10:30 am

I have a Husky 600 double track. ( i think it is a 1964?). I has a JLO engine. Im not sure what size it is? Anyways, I was wondering what is the proper spark plug to use? From doing a bit of research, Im thinking the engine is an L- 252? Does anyone know how I could find out what engine I have?

Your engine should be an L252R if it is original. The R indicates right hand rotation. The original plug was a K9.

Will it hurt anything to run a k-10 or a k8? I was told they are just different heat range plugs. The plugs keep fouling up on me. Im thinking maybe I have to rich of an oil mixture with the gas? What is the proper oil/gas mixture for this engine?

I run my mix 40:1 ad use a k7 plug or a k8 and never have issues. I actually use ngk plugs and the # is LB-7
