Hi Dan
I was looking in my 2008 NGK Canadian master catalogue and I know it is a few years old but I think the information is still good.
It tells me that for a JLO 152 cc you should be using an AB6 sparkplug . For the 252 engine you should also be using an AB6. It also tells me that for a Hirth 300cc 190R and 191, and 54R, you should be using an AB7.

You can also use go hotter or colder than these numbers. And with NGK, the lower the number, the hotter the plug.
In my hus skis I use Bosch sparkplugs. I am taking this out of my 2012 Bosch master catalogue. The one I use is M5AC. this is a replacement plug for the old bosch M225T1 which was a common plug in these engines. And again, you can go hotter or colder plug from there. Anywhere from an M4AC up to M8ACO. With Bosch plugs, the higher the number, the hotter the plug. THe M225T1 also crosses over to an Autolite 2695.
Maybe these are some other options for you. Give us some feedback and let us know how they work out for you.
