Is real loose. Adjustment nut appears to be at end of threads. Would a few washer do me any good. Also does the center bolt have to be loose on cog wheel to adjust. Ken U going to have to work on track pretty quick.

Neither of my hus ski's are even close to the end of the tightener threads , very worn cleats would perhaps be the problem , and yes you want to loosen the nuts before turning the tighteners .

the cleat should measure 1-1/2" x 3/4" x 12"
. the easiest way to loosen axel bolt is to use an impact driver. if not useing this tool it is difficult to hold one side while you loosen the other

I maybe at end of adjustment already- hopefully a thread or 2 left. If I am at end of adjustment is there anything that I can do

to gain a little more. Right now when track moves over I can easily slide it back. I imagine turning the sled doesn't help it a bit.

that unless I make a left turn than a right. I imagine a new track etc will have to be purchased pretty soon . That is, when

funds become available. Thanks Ken U

Just a thought. you may want to give your slides some consideration as well with regard to replacing them with new slides. If your track growsers or cleats are that worn that you have no track adjustment, chances are the slides are close to the end of their life as well. As these slides wear, this will also decrease your tension on the track. If my growsers are that worn, chances are my slides are equally that worn and I replace both at the same time. Replacing both parts should bring your track bolt adjustors back into their proper location or at least close to the beginning of their travel (providing you have no belt stretching either). I believe the growser spacing is 3 3/4"
Barrie sells the cleats and the slides if you need them.
    Just some ideas to consider....

If the slides are worn down then it stands to reason if I replaced them maybe I could make the rest of the year

with the track. Anybody know height of slides off hand. Ken U and thanks all

Your slides should be 1-1/4' to 1-3/8" thick and belting should be 101-1/4" long.

What do you mean by "when track moves over I can easily slide it back"?

Barrie did the original slides on any of the hus ski models ever have tin or some type of metal on them that contacted the cleats ? My dad was telling me he thought there was .
