Bolens Diablo Rouge and Hus Ski Discussion Forums

Hey does anyone have a close idea what the original retail price of a 1965 Bolens Hus-Ski 444 would have been. I'm making up a spec sheet and would like to include this info. Even if we get close that would be ok. I'm thinking around $700 ??

Barrie is the expert on years and I believe the 444's are considered 1966 models. I think he had posted somewhere that they built 444's in 1965 to sell in the winter of 65-66. Anyways, I have a receipt for a 444 dated March 10, 1966 and it sold for $795.00. This was in Michigan, I wonder if they were cheaper, closer to the factory.
