Carb Choke Plates hitting on Tri-Pods

Post by Go Go Diablo » Sun Feb 27, 2011 11:50 am

A while ago, Barrie mentioned to me he had several instances where he found the choke plate hitting on the Tri-Pod Covers on the HR Tillotson Carbs used on the Diablos. When that happens, the choke does not fully close.

This symptom could be truly frustrating for a Diablo owner if your choke is not fully closing and you do not know it. They can be hard enough to start when cold without more challenges like this.

Check your Choke Plates. If they hit on one of the 3 legs of the Tri-Pod cover, loosen the screws and bend out the leg slightly to make clearance.

Thanks Barrie.
