If I use synthetic oil, can the mix change from 25:1 and what is everyone else doing? Have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

I run Klotz in all my injected sleds, but I have not had good perfrormance running synthetic in my vintage sleds. I simply run Yamalube at 32:1 in all my Hirth singles.

I run a regular 50:1 oil at 40:1 mix. I tried it at 25:1 to start but it seemed like a lot more smoke and unburned oil was passing through. A lot messier in the engine compartment. I won some synthetic oil at a run and was thinking of trying it. Maybe not. How was performance different?

The synthetic oil I tried mixing was not Klotz. What I found was that I had a lot of unburned oil that seemed to seap out of cracks and opening in my flex pipe that I never knew I had, and what did come out was a sticky/gooey mess that was almost impossible to clean up. :x Maybe it was the oil (Shell synthetic that I used to run in my wifes XLT) or that I just had it mixed too rich but it was a mess that I just don't get when I run Yamalube.
