Bolens Diablo Rouge Gearbox Plug - Missing

The Gearbox rubber plug on my Bolens Diablo is missing. I did not notice it was missing until I was refilling the gearbox and had grease running all over my garage floor. I have a split gearbox cover and the hole for what I believe is a rubber plug is located on the lower section of the cover. Does anyone have these for sale or know what to use as a potential replacement?

Thanks for the help

Ed

Hey Jeff - are the ones you have found a fairly soft plug that fits snug in the hole?

Thanks for being such a big help to everyone. That's just great man (a big thumbs up :D )

They are vinyl, similar to siding material. I use them in both my 500s and they have held up well. I will send you some if you like.

Jeff,

Could you post a picture of the plug and maybe a ruler in the background for scale? I can try our local hardware stores (True-value, Lowes, and Home Depot) and see if they have an equivalent. If not, I may have to take you up on your offer.

Thanks again....

Jeff,

The reason I ask is I purchased a bag from Mcmaster Carr. They work ok, but they are a harder plastic and do not fit as tight into the hole as the softer rubber plugs do. I still use them, but if there is a better one out there, I'm all for finding it.
