I had the same problem with the Hus-ski. The sollution for the Hus-ski was to put in a new carb kit. Change all the diaphrams and it solve that problem.

Hi Rock,

Thanks for the suggestion. I should have mentioned that a new carb kit was installed.

Barrie,

Cap is good, in fact when I blew into the fuel line the pressure could be heard escaping from the cap vent so I am sure it is not the cap. There does not appear to be any blockage at the tank outlet, fuel flows pretty freely, had a bit of mess to clean up. Although I can't tell that there is an issue with the in-line filter itself, I'm thinking of trying a different one and see if that is an issue. :?:

Hi all, Jim D from Fairbanks, Alaska sent me this little tid bit.

In dealing with the carburetors, my friend who has a bunch of
experience with the tillotsons, has shown me a problem that most people
aren't aware of. The middle knob on the diaphragm is usually thicker on
the replacement kits than on the originals. Sometimes you need to have
the arm a bit lees than level or else the needle opens too quick and too
much. I guess it is most noticeable at idle.

Thanks again,
Jim

These Tillotson carbs have always been a tempormental thing but now the replacement parts are not what they used to be???????? How are we ever to know what to do? Install the seat washer or not? ...bend the arm up or down?.....install the forked lever arm or not? .....don't put the fork on the tab? Good thing my machines are running otherwise I would be bald by now.
