I was working on my 502 on the weekend and I noticed the heat shield bolt that goes into the head of the engine is missing. Can someone tell me the size, save me some time. Take care and waiting for snow.

Hi Garth,

I believe it is metric. The engine parts manual lists it as a hex cutting screw - AM 6 x 18. I am pretty sure that the bolt on the exhaust side that secures the air shroud to the head is the same size bolt.

The term "hex cutting" would lead me to beleive that when first assembled they used a self tapping screw. That would have save them time when first assembling the motors. Thats just a guess ;) from Wisconsin.
