Diablo 502 Power Problems

Hi All,
After a restoration this summer and a snow fall last night my 502 was able to hit the snow today. It is running a tad rich after a fresh rebuild but is close. It seemed to run fine and get up to rpm while on hard pack but once it hit powered it was if the clutches were not shifting to allow rpms to be maintained. When I cleaned the secondary it had a stiffer spring in with the original spring to I assume correct this problem. I know on the Hus-Skis this is never a problem but this is the first Diablo I have driven. Is this a common problem to bog down or is my secondary clutch spring getting weak?
Thanks Peter
