Diablo 500

Post by Parry » Tue Dec 15, 2015 9:35 pm

Hello all. I picked up 3 Diablos back in July and have been looking on here ever since. I also bought a 500 from Bruce which I'm sure some people will recognize the pictures. I'm live in southwestern Ontario and have been looking around for a Diablo for about year and now I have a few and love them. I wanted one or two for the rest of my Bolens collection. Anyway, the tare down of the 500 has begun. And of course my job limits me from working on it thru some weeks. I hope the pictures go thru.

Well it looks like I may have to post some pictures a little later.

For those trying to post pictures, remember to turn your camera to the lowest resolution setting so your picture sizes are small. Small pictures fit best on the forum. Or if your camera has setting like good, better, best - good is good enough.

And thank for posting your pictures Parry. Good to see that grey Diablo finally get the attention it needs. Hope to see more pictures and discussions in the future!

Well the chassis is bare and ready for some sandblasting. Now I'm getting really excited to see it painted and back together. And even more excited to ride it for the first time. :D

Parry has a later model Diablo 500. You can determine that as there are anti-flip rods where the bogie stations mount and extra reinforcements where the bumper brackets mount. These are just two of about a dozen upgrades Bolens made during the production of this first model Diablo.
