Battery - Model #503

12 volt battery with spill-proof caps. Shipped dry (without acid), firmly mounted and cushioned in a carrier which is welded directly to the deck.

There's not much better on a Diablo than to turn the key and effortlessly start your Diablo. The picture below does not show the red terminal protectors which were not original. I add them for safety.

These picture shows the terminal protectors. I put one on the battery and the other on the starter.

Ski-Seater Assembly

The Ski-seater has been improved to include a tow bar and handrail combination.

An additional set of guides has been added on skis behind the spring to ensure that passenger does not remove feet from skis.

As a result of many requests, a spring steel latch to lock luggage compartment has been added

Ha, as a kid, my feet were never on the skis no matter what Bolens installed to keep them there. That was fun to drag my feet in the snow!

And luggage compartment? The only luggage my dad ever put in the ski seater came in packs of 6 along with hot dogs and buns. Ah the memories! Thanks dad!

Well - there you have it. That is a bunch of changes from one year to the next. To my knowledge, no additional changes were made during the two years Bolens made the 502 and 503.

Many thanks to Roy Teske who shared this document with me. I hope you all enjoyed it.
