444 primary clutch

Can someone please help

It has been some time since i dissmantled the primary clutch and i do not remember if the snap ring goes under the bolt on cover or out side it ?

There is a snap ring on the outside of the cover. I've never had one of these clutches apart, so I don't know if there is another snap ring on the inside as well.
