Interesting. I agree about the pinch point it looks brutal. His age makes sense.
I am still going to write about them.

I am now driving my single track model 600. Ed, what recollections do you have about the engineering that went into this model of HUS-SKI?

Sorry Iam late in replying but thanks so much for the info in the clutches are the factorys that pored the clutch castings still in operation reason i ask it would be great if we could get some new clutches cast or paterns made because they are a really hard part to find in good shape on some machines thanks again ed you are a wealth of info for restorers of hus ski,s.

Barrie asked me to post the following:

This is Murray McNaughton. He worked for Bolens in Point Claire, Quebec up to the end of the Diablos. He was part of the design team. The scissor type hitch on this machine was apparently a prototype for the Diablos. He brought this base home when the plant closed. The base is very similar to the prototype one I have. It also has sliders.
