Replacement Hus-Ski fenders

Post by devil dog » Wed Jul 08, 2009 4:19 pm

I am going to have some 200-A front fenders made and also 444 full fender pans. The 444 ones would require cutting off and re-attaching the lower frame section so that the pan would have no seams like factory ones. Shipping the 444 ones MAY be possible VIA Grayhound Bus. The 200-A front fenders will ship easy. Any interest ? They will be 18 gauge which is the next size thicker than factory and correctly formed edges . Price will depend on quantity and can get price this week. Hoping to keep the 200-A ones around $50 and the 444 ones around $120.

I would be interested in a fender pan for a 444. Keep us updated on the progress of these, when they would be available, actual costs and any other info you may have.
Thanks!!

OK, I dropped off a chassis of a 444 and front 200-A fender at the metal fab place a week and a half ago and he is going to call when he has one of each made and I will inspect and hopefully approve! He was still hunting for the correct inner bead roller die but he has the exact 4-roller tool that does the outer edges in one pass! very cool! He is also making some of the 3-piece chain guards that are often missing or damaged.

I would be interested in the fenders for the 200-A, and the 3 piece chain guard, it would be gear if you could post some pictures of them when you get them.

OK, Thanks for the interest, when I get first pieces I will put pictures and prices on the parts for sale section. Then we can decide quantity and I will have him do a run of them. I was thinking of doing the pipes and braces for front and rear too but if someone is qualified enough to remove a fender and weld a new one on, they can probobly fab up the tubing underneath. :|

Are the dimensions of the 444 and 200 deck the same? Could someone give me the dimensions?
Thanks Rusty

So far I have rejected the first pans he has done. The project has stalled for a while-he did do a few chain covers and they are nice. I am going to visit his shop tomorrow. I may have to find someone else who will do them? Believe me, I need these things just as bad as you guys! I will get some pics of the first parts on here soon.
