New owner Diablo 500

Post by segrat » Fri Mar 13, 2009 11:45 am

Just picked up my 500 Diablo I bought off Ebay from New Belgium Wi. This thing is cool. Talk about basic. I have spoken to Schoobytwo by email several times already. Gives the impression of a lot of knowledge without a doubt. At first glance (me and my son walked around it checking it out for about an hour drooling) looks like I'll be needing some parts. Rubber motor mounts etc. , but thats down the road a ways. Serial #10988 now lives in Wetmore Mi. and will be back making tracks in the snow next year. Already have neighbors and friends wanting to come over and check it out.

John's 500 is one of the early models with the 2 bracket bumper and the long nose tin in front. Exactly like my 500 restoration. If I was going to restore a 500, the original early model is the one because of how rare they are. Pretty cool. He has an excellent machine to get started with.

Looking forward to a couple of pictures now and later John!
