serial numbers

Post by Barrie2777 » Tue Mar 04, 2008 9:30 pm

Part of the research I do for HUS-SKI is to ask owners of these machines for their machine's serial number. The serial numbers give me an idea of how many HUS-SKI were built since all models had a definite begining number and were number sequentially. Do you think this a possibility for the Diablos? If someone knows how many were built then it would be easier.

Barrie, I see you registered. Great to hear from you. Regarding serial numbers, I've also thought about collecting the numbers and creating a data base. If you are doing it for Hus Skis, I'd be interested in what you are recording and maybe we can start the Diablo S/N data too.

Barrie,
Where are the serial #'s located on the Hus-skis, The only thing that even remotely looks like a # on my 444 is a small aluminum plate screwed to the back of the powerhead near the snow flap with a number stamped on it.

The serial number on the 444 is pressed into a plastic tab and then stuck on the inside wall to the right of the gas tank. You have to stand on your head to see it but it should be there. I have never heard of an aluminum tab elsewhere on the 444. All other models have the serial number on the dash decal.
