Chalk River 2016

Hi guys.

I'm wondering. What's the snow and trail conditions in Chalk River?

Here, I am 100 kilometers East of them and we have very poor quality. It is hard as a rock, at least what's left of it. We didn't receive any good new snow since the last thaw, and re-freeze. The fields are covered in rough patches. And very rough. Did I mention very rough?

Is anyone in contact with Larry and the gang? Maybe someone can report :?:

Thanks

Jesse

I talked to Pooper a couple days ago. He said 2 feet of snow. Not powder, but good coverage. Hopefully we can cross the lake. They were supposed to put the tree line in across the Ottawa River at Constance Bay on the weekend.
See you in Chalk River.

All this talk about the Diablo's, have me thinking of heading up to Chalk River on the weekend to check them out.
Roy, I don't think they got the tree line up on the Ottawa River Saturday, from Constance Bay over to the Quebec side.
Came by Gavan' on late Saturday afternoon, and didn't see any sleds, but I heard Mike over, but not with the Hus-Ski!!! lol

Hi Jeff
Not looking good for Chalk River either. The Hus-skis need powder to lube those slides. Depends on the weather to-night and tomorrow. I'll let you know as soon as I hear anything.

Chalk River forecast for tonight was 5 to 8", but warm tomorrow. I'll be loading up a couple Diablos tomorrow night in hopes we get the green light! :D

Jeff - if you are up, you can take one of my Diablos for a ride. Jesse and I can race those BRAAAAAAAAAAPPPPPPING 500's against each other!

Morning boys. Well, I just took a picture out my front porch this morning, we didn't get anything (snow) worth celebrating. Yikes. Hardly 2 inches of granular.
I sure hope Chalk River fairred better than us here. How much did you get in your neck of the woods Roy?

Check out this picture. I had loaded the snow-bug on the trailer and put on a tarp over it last night. (son in law wants to join the ride this year) That ain't very much on the tarp.

I guess we're all waiting for the much anticipated GREEN LIGHT.

Just to let you know, the run is cancelled officially. There may be a small gathering at Poopers, but not a lot of riding. Jeannot and I are headed to our camp in Val Des Bois to run the provincial trails Saturday and Sunday( free pass for the weekend... register online). Join us if you can.

Crap!
Thanks for letting us know Roy. Can't say that I'm surprised. :o

Well there are gonna be other gatherings I'm sure. I don't know if I can make it on any provincial trails at all, I do not have papers with this (unknown serial number) Diablo. Thanks for the invite. I may have to pass this time, but I do want to go on your own trails like the ones you have shared with your video's. I'd like to see "suicide hill" and the lakes.

Maybe some other time. Stay in touch.
