For myself, I wish I could be there. I'm working today.
So I'll see all of you tomorrow. I'm hoping to make it for the 10 O'clock departure.

Oh yes. We gathered, we talked, we rode, most rode back. Riding conditions were perfect. Temp also perfect and food was great. Much thanks to Pooper and Mary Kaye for being great hosts and to Larry for his undying enthusiasm to organize the hus-ski ride. Also great to see Bruce overcoming his fear of riding a diablo in deep snow. He didn't call for rescue and doesn't have to return to chalk river in the spring to retrieve his machine.

Best ride yet. The anniversary hats are special. Thanks Larry, Pooper and Mary Kay for the many hours you and others put into organizing the ride. Thanks Barrie for the souvenir decals of this anniversary run and Bruce for your dedication to our sport. Here are a couple of pictures of the day. If anyone has some pictures , please send them to me and I'll add them to a DVD of the weekend.

I could not have said it better Roy. A great ride, but even more so remembering the people we met, putting faces to names and now having true friends in vintage sledding in this part of our countries.
Again, special thanks to Larry, Kevin and Mary Kay for your hospitality and thanks to all those who came for the day. I'm already looking forward to a return visit where I'll be more apt to drive my Diablo in the deep Canadian snow (thanks Barrie)!

An often overlooked fact about the Chalk River ride is the history of every ride that has been painstakenly recorded by photo or by notes in an album. The complete set of photo albums and note books was on display for everyone to read. Everything from who came on the ride to who won the "spark plug" award in 2004 or the "Freddie Bachelor" award for a muffler shaking apart on his 400. All this history has been compiled by Larry Gendron. Thanks again Larry for your dedication.

Hi all,
Thank you so much to everyone for a great weekend with special thanks to Mary Kay, Larry and Kevin. I met so many new friends and so many people that I haven''t seen since the Fiftieth Hus-ski reunion in Alliston, Ontario.
The food was great and the stories before and after were lot's of fun. A wonderful group of people that I hope I can join again next year.
The photos and Bruce's video are special momentous and I look forward to seeing many more.
