unique hus-ski

Post by lowblackc10 » Thu Feb 13, 2014 9:46 pm

So I have never seen one done like this and decided I should probably share our '64 hus-ski 444 "racer" that is far from original. It has a 370 sachs, and was raced in canada by the previous owner before he moved to NY. The engine is started from the front and seems to have the clutches switched to the other side to accommodate the sachs engine, not sure what the exhaust is from but it looks pretty wild as it runs down the right side. super fun to ride and gets alot of looks from people at shows.

I will post better ones of it cleaned up once the seat and framework is re-done. This was just after the first start in 2 years.

A hotrod Hus-ski! Would you post a pic or two of the jackshaft assembly? I'd like to see what was done when the belt was switched to the other side. I had to do this when I put a Honda engine in. It's nice to see other ideas. Thanks

I really like this. How fast is it? I sure would have liked to pass one of those pesky 247cc skidoos back in the day.
