I went out the other day to ride my 444 but the dampness and the -25 degrees had the key switch frozen. I always install the wiring with bullet fasteners for ease of removing the engine. In this instance I disconnected the ground wire and started the engine. After a short ride I parked in the heated garage to dry out the electrical works. Of coarse I can't stop it with the key so I tried the button on the engine....frozen! I reconnected the ground wire and cleaned offthe skiis. We are having a spell ofcold where the numbers are the same weather you read C or F. Canada usually gets the blame for this cold but I have a theory and here it is....the weather systems move west to east and north to south thus originating in the most northwestern point on the continent ...ALASKA. The cold air originates in the USA, gets warmed up while crossing Canada then is returned to the USA.
