Hi.

Wow looks great, loved watching this rebuild and learning some pretty cool stuff about Hus-ski's. And looking forward to seeing it being ridden.

Thank you.

This was my fix for the brake rotor problem on all these units.Fill in the center of the rotor (weld). Then take to a local metal shop that owns a Piranha Iron worker and have them center and punch out a square that wil be no bigger then the outside diameter of the shaft. Then bring it home toss it in the vise center the rotor on the shaft scribe it.Break out a metal file and file to fit!Oh and here is the motor being dropped in today!

I'am so close i can taste it,but I'am slowly running out of steam.Spent two hours looking for parts today that were on the bench. The motor is in,Jack shaft and secondary clutch,Chain, wiring,so tomorrow fuel tank, brakes, ignition switch (That I'am not sure what goes where on the the switch what wire where ?)Then mount the skies and tail light wiring. But MAN I'AM GETTING TIRED.My medical condition slows me down big time.

Well my first picture was Taken Nov 2nd.Strange as it may seem today Feb2nd & might i add Ground Hog Day I have completed my task of a complete restoration. This Hus Ski 1966 444,Serial #651166 is back on the snow (and we have lots today). This 4 month restoration would not have taken place at that speed with out this Web Site Thanks! And the members fast and knowledgeable response's.This is a guy who only had seen one at a vintage show in this fall (Thanks Mike Oreilly) did some investigation and started to hunt these machines. Then only days after herd that Alliston (Husk Ski 50th) was going to happen.Special thanks to Barrie and Frank.Go figure no pictures yet of the finished project but I will tell you my first test drive was exactly one hr long.So i will now go over every nut and bolt wash and wax and we are READY !!!!!!!!!!!!!!As crazy as it seems I have already called my paint and body guy today to see when we can start the Diablo 502, March is the word so I will start a new forum header in March. For now i will ride! My plan is to build one for each of my two children, one down. Two years ago I was told I had about 3 to 5 years to live (hence the rush)?Well I'am living let me tell you that!!!!!

Thanks to all who looked and listened I will post some pictures later.

If you made it back without losing any parts on the inaugural run, then you've done a great job. How did those sliders work out?
