The handlebar frame was in bad shape. The firewall only had one weld holding it in place and all the other welds were broken. Also on the firewall, the hole for the starter cable was damaged from the starter cable cutting into it ! The side panels also most of their welds broken allowing them to separate from the frame. The exhaust port in the right side panel was damaged from a broken muffler hitting against it. I also had to resize the hood pin mounts that were worn out (similar to the ski mount holes). Now it is ready for sandblasting and paint.

this is the dash panel before and after. The cable hole in the dash also had damage from the cable and needed to be repaired.

the exhaust port needed to be completely filled in and cut out to make it perfectly round again. this required a very slow welding process as not to over heat the sheet metal causing to warp

after completely welding in the patch the welds have to be ground down on both sides of the panel to make it smooth like a new piece of metal

now that all the welds,cracks,holes and sheet metal is repaired the handle bars are ready for sand blasting and paint !

needless to say it will need a new high quality drive chain !
