Well....took those carbs off again and this is no simple task like other husskis. Because of the double carb and the jackshaft post being so close, the engine mounting bolts must be completely loosened so the engine can be lifted for the lower carb to clear the post. Then apart with the carbs for another examination. Nothing to change!! Back together, reinstall, hook up choke, connect throttle, tighten engine bolts, install gas line.....hmmm? Gas did not flow to carb! The gastank on a 600 is above or equal to the height of the carb so the gas should flow by gravity to the carb and especiallly to the lower one.

The gas tank has a nice epoxy coating. The gastank valve is new. The gas line is new. The gas is clean. How was there a blockage in the gas line? One of those restoration mysteries. The way i see it now, the vacuum of the engine could draw the gas to run one carb but couldnt draw enough gas to operate two carbs. There was a lot of head scratching and hair pulling on this simple problem.

So I am just curious … what was the blockage in the fuel system if everything was clean and new?

I found a piece of plastic about the size of a dime. Just a fluke it was in the line. I hope my hair grows back now that this problem is solved.

My carb woes did not end with that blockage. After off and on too many times to count I could not resolve the carb problems so im sending it to an expert to have a second opinion. I have now installed a standard 186 carb and WOW that 600 moves better than expected...almost spinning the tracks to start.
