Bruce, Checking in with the latest on the 503 starter issue. I will pick it up tomorrow. Hopefully the issue is resolved.
What is the latest on a Summer get together at the Shoblaska estate?

503 Restoration
In light of the melting snow and the need to uplift our spirits I thought it would be good time to share some pictures of the 503 after restoration. I've still got the ignition switch issue to resolve but otherwise I'm quite happy with the way it turned out. A special thanks to Mike Niebuhr. Mike se...

Failed 503 Ignition Switch - Need help
After a short ride on Sunday the switch on the 503 isn't working. I can barely turn the key. I sprayed some WD40 into the switch but it still turns like there is gravel inside. I also can't get the lights to come on in the first position. There is an antique show and short ride on Saturday in SE Min...

Re: Cold steel - Keeping your hands warm
The handwarmer comment was my attempt at humor, perhaps not such a good attempt though. I am going to find some warmer hand protection. What I have works on the Ski doo but not on the Diablo. I'm anxious to see the windshield bracket. If it pans out it sounds like we've all got more work to do this ...

Cold steel - Keeping your hands warm
I must admit I'm a little spoiled by thumbwarmers and handwarmers on the new machines today but I can't find anything in the winter gear arsenal that can keep my hands warm hanging on to that cold steel handle. And this is as 20 degrees. I can't imagine gripping on to the steel bar at 10 below. What...

Re: 503 Engines and Serial Numbers
Bruce, I didn't have time to check on the engine model # but my serial number on the 503 is 30820.

I picked up my copy from Bruce at Antigo. We watched it Sunday night. Its the best $20 I've spent in a long time.

Re: 503 - Back from the dead
I took the 503 out this afternoon for about an 8 mile ride. I played with the carb a bit and got it running pretty well again. While it is no rocket in the deeper snow I was pretty impressed with what it can go through. I was down at the neighbors with it and continue to be amazed at the response pe...
