After getting my Grandpa's Hus-Ski I learned a hard lesson on clockwise and counterclockwise rotation on JLO engines when I put a different one in and after starting it the first time I got pinned between the handlebar and the workbench. Lesson learned!

This is the reason my restore is not done. Fish are bittin too good, 3 hours of fishing 2 guys 50 slab panfish this morning.

I can see that there are center bonded mounts between aluminum motor mount and steel brackets, but what is supposed to be between steel brackets and the belly pan , mine has peices of rubber belting is this right?

In this forum I remember someone showing the differences in the fender from a 400 to I beleive a 444 and the 400 had an extra peice spotwelded on the underneath of the fender along the sides I think this would stiffen fender I wish I would have did this to mine before welding it on but I think it wi...

I have a 63 400 and the only brake part on it is the brake drum which is not welded to the secondary. I need brake lever ,linkage or cables and brake bands. Does anyone know where I can get these? WOW! That sled is awsome. I am amazed at your progress, you would laugh if you could see how little progress I have made on mine, hope to have it on snow next year and hope it looks as good as yours. Jeff
