A quick check of the book shows a dealer service instructions for models: 84440, 83433 & 83440. These must have been the models of "A Carl Kiekhaefer engin." Sound like something that might help Barrie?

Thanks Barrie, I wasn't expecting quite that in depth of a explantion of there history, but it sure helps me narrow down what I have. Just got back from Medford & the Jalopy ride. I put 10.2 miles on the Diablo on the ride, it wasn't that great, the Diablo wasn't running so swell :x . Barrie, I have heard horror stories about border crossings, any idea what the big deal is? It just doesn't make any sense to me why it's that big a deal. Just one guy selling a snowmobile to another!
