Re: SnowDog - new motor tow.
Well, I finally got a chance to look these 4 strokers closer  I reviewed a lot of video's and I tell you. My first impression is now changing. These machines seem capable. I saw them in deep snow I happen to know my Diablo would have a hard time breaking trail. Very impressed with the torque ...

Re: SnowDog - new motor tow.
Those are an interesting concept. I did look them up a few years ago. And again last year when I was contemplating putting on a 4 stroke Honda clone with a torque converter from Harbor freight/princess auto here in Canada, on my restore 500. I am not sold on the Idea of standing in a moving machine....

Re: Last chance riding
Roy! How many "last rides" can you have before your better half gets really :o :o :o ? For myself, I finally got to replacing my top engine mount today. (Look at these pictures close guys) I believe there was a crack in more than one place over the years. These pictures clearly show the only two poi...

Re: 502 engine mount lower
Yes I agree Bruce, they say a little story. OK, I finally got my 502 into a rolling frame. It was challenging doing all those boogie wheels tires, welds and lube. But in the end, They will be "solid" (In fact this frame is much stronger than my 500 was) Here we can see the new lacers I received from...

Re: My 'new' Hus-Ski 444.
Welcome to the forum Marc. You're in good hands here. The knowledge and parts availability for restorations and refurbishing these old marvels is equal to NONE!!! I too had a swivel mount for the seater that was rusted solid. I took my time. penetrating fluid, low heat. I used a propane torch, and m...

502 engine mount lower
Hi guys. Well I started it. I am into this 502 complete restore up to my elbows right now. :o http://i63.tinypic.com/syts9c.jpg During the tear-down, I came across a couple of questionable areas. The first one being the engine mount. Somehow the engine looks like it was sitting forward. closer to th...
