Beautiful country for snowmobiling. I finally tracked down the guys in this huge swamp full of black spruce. The snow was deep, the temperature was mild and the diablos were running hot.

Cabin photos
After the great weekend, Bruce hosted a few of us up at his cabin in northern Wisconsin. Can't thank you enough Bruce. I hope we can get together again soon for another ride. Here are a few photos. I'll post a few more of the ride later. It was tough to get much video. I needed both hands to drive i...

Re: Diablo 502 Power Problems
Hi Peter
Going to fire up my Diablo today. You could pop the hood off and drive it to see what the clutches are doing. My Diablo was acting the same on my first run years ago. It turned out the high-speed had to be turned in to 3/4 of a turn to run well. Then no problem. Good luck.

Snow in the high country
We had 5" of wet snow last Saturday at the hunt camp. Took 2 hours to clear the road in, about 4k. A lot has melted , but more coming this week. Yesterday we were still clearing trails. Hopefully I can get in a run before January. The Diablo is sitting in the garage chomping at the bit. Roy IMG_0474...

Re: Yellow Fever
Nice work Randy. I'm always amazed at how guys with experience and talent can machine and build the parts to restore our old machines. Look forward to watching your progress and seeing you in Port Washington. Roy

Chaincase OH
I had some play in my chain-case. I wasn't sure where the play was ,so I took it apart. Turned out to be just a little wear in the woodruff key on the lower gear. After 10 year of running, I decided to OH . New bearings and chain, not because they were needed, but just because I was in there. I also...

El Nino to La Nina?
Winter stayed late this year in Val Des Bois. This is what the woods looked like May 7th and May 15th. Now we're having a heat wave and the black flies and trout are biting . These two moose may be discussing the change from El Nino to La Nina that's supposed to happen this year. Have a good summer ...

Re: SnowDog - new motor tow.
I was a little skeptical at first about the performance of these machines until I dug deeper on you tube. I was looking for the very small Russian version of Diablo/Hus-ski that showed up on the site several years ago. The guy was having a great time doing do-nuts on a lake. I didn't find it yet , b...

Re: Chalk River....the early days
I've finally completed this project. It's been an uphill battle with computer hard-drive crashing, learning a new operating system (Windows 10...can't say I'm impressed), and new programs to do the job. It was very hard to pick which photos to include and which to omit, but I'm happy with the result...
