Re: No charging in 503
just following this conversation, I am sure this is not a problem but something to look at anyway - the wires going into the junction block on the side of the engine beside the carburetor I have seen where these wires are extremely frayed and holding by one or two strands even though the screws appe...

Re: hus ski track
Just a thought. you may want to give your slides some consideration as well with regard to replacing them with new slides. If your track growsers or cleats are that worn that you have no track adjustment, chances are the slides are close to the end of their life as well. As these slides wear, this w...

Re: OIL & GAS MIX
Your're right Bruce, that is some rich mix. A guy could almost see unburnt oil dripping out of the muffler!

Re: OIL & GAS MIX
Here is my two cents. I use a 40-1 mixture of castrol super two stroke oil. I use regular gas with no ethanol in it. I have been using this oil for years upon years in our power equipment where I work. I have never had any engine failure or engine wear due to this oil. This is also the oil that Stih...

Re: Hus-Ski Prototype Quiz!!!!
That is very interesting to hear about another prototype. Is it possible that you have or could get a picture or two to post on Bruce's website? I think everyone would be interested in seeing it and comparing it to these two pictures.
Thanks

Hus-Ski Prototype Quiz!!!!
Recently I have noticed there has been some discussion about hus-ski prototypes. So I started looking at some of my photos and came across these two photos and tried to compare the two machines to look for the subtle differences. I thought I would post them here on Bruce's website and see if others ...

Hus ski quality control
I was out in the shop this morning installing new skids on my hus ski 200A. I installed the first one and checked the alignment between the front and rear sprockets and was right on centre. So I moved on to the second one and again installing in the original mounting holes then checked alignment and...

Re: Gas Tank Restoration
I totally agree with you Barrie- the anti slosh neck in the tank goes almost to the bottom of the tank. So putting something solid in there would be impossible to get out of there again. For that reason, my original question was if anyone had tried this Metal Rescue product that claims it cleans the...

Gas Tank Restoration
I recently acquired a Hus Ski 200A and it has some rust in the gas tank. I have been searching on how to deal with this problem on the internet and found a product called Metal Rescue. After watching a video clip about it on Youtube I thought I would give this a try. But then I started wondering if ...
