Good snow at hunt camp. I was out brushing another trail on Monday anticipating a run in February.. Easier to use the ATV at this point, but hard going on the hills.

Re: Video of special Hus-Ski ride in Canada... 4-Strokin'
Nice job on the video. I never get tired of watching these old machines flying through the snow. It's been snowing here for two days and I'm layed up with a fractured knee. Oh well...next year. Be careful out there.

Constance Bay Run 2018
A big thank-you once again to Mike O'Reilly and all the volunteers and sponsors of the annual fund-raiser for the Constance Bay Legion. You outdo yourselves year after year. Snow conditions were probably the best yet. It seemed like anyone with a snowmobile was out on the river watching and riding a...

No ride this weekend guys. Sorry for the late cancellation. I was having trouble logging in to the site. Snow conditions here have really deteriorated, riders are busy and now I'm on crutches. Perhaps the weather will improve in March. Be careful out there.

Re: 12/16/17 Back on the Snow Chat!
I'll be up there Friday morning to open up. Maybe Thursday also for the day, to break trails with the Tundra. I'm off for two weeks. Lots of time. Constance Bay run goes on the 18th of February this year. Jesse, next year I'll be retired and we can make an early run in January so you can come. Condi...

Re: 12/16/17 Back on the Snow Chat!
Looks like the weekend of Feb. 24th will be the one for a ride guys. Let me know if you can make it. Interest appears to be waning, so this will probably be the last organized run. One day runs are always another option. Thanks .

Re: 12/16/17 Back on the Snow Chat!
My front yard looks as icy as yours Barrie. I've been out to the hunt camp every second weekend and the snow conditions have been very good up there. They didn't get the sheet of ice we got here. I can't make it to the ride this weekend, but if anyone wants to do a ride in Val Des Bois in Feb. or ea...

Val Des Bois 2017
Mother nature gave us a window for a small run last weekend. She sandwiched in three days of -22C/-8F between days of heavy rain at 8C/46F. The fast freeze after the first period of rain turned the snow into concrete, but with an inch or so of powder on top for those hus-ski slides. You could walk a...

Constance Bay Run 2017
Conditions for the run were near perfect on Sunday. Great turnout. After over a foot of snow last week the mercury climbed to 7C / 45F. The melt down was on, but made for one of the best rides ever. The ride now runs on land , after crossing the Ottawa River and has stretched out to about 40K /25 mi...

Re: Cabin photos
You'd be surprised what I carry with me on such a long adventure far from home......... spare track, clutch, bogie stations, many tools to repair hus-skis. etc. I should carry an oxygen bottle or two for the Hus-ski riders who sometimes breath in too many of their exhaust fumes and become confused a...
