Yes I also stop by every day. It's a ritual of mine to have a Coffee and check for postings at a few Forums.
Let the stress melt away.
So Bruce how is the 444 muffler fabrication project going? Have you made any headway?

Re: 6/20/12 A Forum Drawing Chat!
For me the summer is the time to go great guns at my restoration projects. I always make time for an hour a day to tinker. Painting and sandblasting is so much easier in the summer. In the winter it seems like a chore to keep the wood stove burning in the shop. However the bugs the in the summer do ...

Re: Wow its got motor mounts
So Fap while I got your attention here do you have any tricks on bending the screen for the hood scoop.
I kinda messed this one up so I only good for practicing with. I will never be perfect now.
When I get the next one from Barrie maybe I will have better luck with some fresh ideas.

Re: Wow its got motor mounts
Thanks I put the wheels and axles under it yesterday. I am impressed on how close the axles fit in to the frame rails. They did know what they were doing when they made thease things. The hood is all sand blasted. The fitting of the hood scoop screen has proved to be a little tricky. Hindsight is al...

Wow its got motor mounts
Got the mounts in place tonight. Thanks Barrie fit perfect. Did a 1/2 inch lift to the fender as people talked about in previous posts. There is a little wave in the fender but that does not bother me. Gives it an image of its own. The Front and back wheels are blasted painted with new bearings. I w...

The link below is for one called (Snyders Antique Auto) I like this one in the states. They have them in steel or stainless steel. My passion is stainless. http://www.snyd...

Re: hood latch screws
Yes the 444 in my avatar is the one. So I went out and on closer inspection of the old fender I see the left overs of those studs you talk of. I also see that the chain cover was held down by the same type stud as one of those are still there. So the nuts go on top where you can see them Thanks agai...

Re: hood latch screws
I figured it was a weak spot as the old fender had been cracked then welded and the latch was also welded in place.
I will put a backing plate in place to try to strengthen my new fender with slot head screws.
Thanks Barrie.
