Re: 400 restoration project

Hello Bill: Probably get the proper belting, but if you want to cut it, I cross cut some belting the other day using my band saw. I was making patches for my baler belts and cutting them with a knife has always been a problem. I tried the band saw and was happy with the result. I have a 3/8 blade wi...

I rode the 600 to the Whiskey Jack Riders "Christmas Party " yesterday. It was a ggod time and the Hus-ski sure got a lot of attention. There were a lot of pictures taken of it. It was a great day for a ride. 11 miles each way. I made sure I had a jug of gas to fill up before I came home. Jim

600 head light is not very bright

The head light on my 600 isn't very bright. It works, but is there a newer type of light that will fit in the bezel or a different lighting coil that will generate more light?Jim

600 ice cleats

I am considering rebuilding my original tracks to have as spares. I do not have any extra ice cleats. Does any one have cleats for sale? Would you use the U channel style or switch to the folded over style? Jim

Re: Parts Pieces and Info

Hello: Any switch will do. As you say all you are doing is breaking the circuit. For the skis get in touch with Bruce. He put plastic on the bottom of mine. The dash decal is part of the decal set that I got from Barrie. Good luck. Jim

Re: Seat Wood for the Ski Seater

Hi Bruce: Good info. I noticed that you forgot to keep your safety glasses on once the grinding was done. Just a safety concern. Stay safe. Jim

Re: Hus Ski 600

Hi there: Welcome. The sprockets are fixed to the shafts and they control side to side movement. I see there are also some bogie wheels on yours. I don't think they are original. Regarding the top sprocket, I lost mine years ago. I had a new jack shaft made that a regular sprocket with a key will fi...

Winter is back and so are the humming birds

May 18th 2015 and we have snow. Not enough to ride in, but the ground is white. The Orioles arrived on Friday and the humming birds yesterday. This is certainly not what they were expecting. We got food out for them right away, hopefully they will be Ok.

Re: New guy from Ontario

Hi Jessie: I have several questions and a few comments for you: I sense that not only do you want it to work, but that it should look like it just came from the factory. That will be hard to do if you do not fabricate a lot of new pieces. Is there a good welding shop in your area that can fabricate ...
