Re: Wiring issues
The wiring on the 200 & 200A are fairly simple I think. You have two wires coming from the motor. One is the black wire connected to you kill switch on the motor which is also connected to the points. The other wire is the power from your lighting coil. The motor has no ground wire but the housing i...

Re: Hirth 54R (500 & 502) & Hirth 190R (503) Differences
Bringing back an old post with an update that may further explain HP differences. For all these years, I've thought the Tillotson HR3A and HR14A that came with Diablos were the same carb just made in a different year. Reading through some Tillotson literature, I was surprised to find out that the HR...

Round Brake Pads
Hi Everyone,
After years of searching, I have found some of the "round" brake pads for the Diablo and Hus Skis that use the caliper assembly. I have them available for $15 for the pair.
Thanks,
Bruce

Re: Getting a 200A going again.
I like the idea you have about making the motor mounts out of bar stock with studs rather than trying to wrestle your arm under the chassis to tighten a nut or a bolt. When I did a 200, I did just the opposite and put the nuts downward. It worked really well. Thank you for sharing all your cool idea...

Re: Hus Ski ED's Place !! (Great Stories)
Barrie asked me to post the following: This is Murray McNaughton. He worked for Bolens in Point Claire, Quebec up to the end of the Diablos. He was part of the design team. The scissor type hitch on this machine was apparently a prototype for the Diablos. He brought this base home when the plant clo...

Hello Everyone!
Hi Everyone, It's the dog days of summer and it's 90 degrees today with the dew point arising quickly. Seems like a good time to come down to the coolness of the basement and reach out and say Hi. :D Covid? Not even going to talk about it. Looking forward to the Hus Ski 60th in Lachute in January. H...

Re: Who else is riding?
Hi Everyone. Yes, discussions on the forum have been minimal, but not surprising. It seems Facebook has become the new forum with several groups dedicated to Hus Skis and Diablos. A good place to show everyone what you have going on but not such a great place to ask technical questions. On a support...
